The guest package

Part 1 of 3 · The package
What the guest gets
The idea, what's in it, and how it reaches them.
The big idea
Make the guest the hero, not the show. "Their face, their sentence, their clients. The episode is the proof, not the ask." A guest shares what makes them look like the professional their best client already trusts. They don't share "I was on a podcast."
The package
| Asset | Spec | Made how |
|---|---|---|
| One private guest page (not a zip or a folder) | Phone-friendly: the play button, the best 3 assets first, each labeled by channel ("Post this on LinkedIn"), copy buttons on the captions | Generated from the moment map; one page per guest |
| The flagship vertical clip | 45 to 75 s, 9:16, captions burned in. Opens on Justin's question, then cuts to the guest's answer. The guest's name, credentials and city at the end; the show's logo only in the last 2 s | Moment map plus the Remotion overlay kit |
| Two micro-clips | 20 to 35 s: one tactical ("how we solve X"), one human ("what I wish I knew") | Moment map |
| The "new agent" clip | 30 s: "what I'd tell a brand-new agent". Peers send it to their own new hires | Moment map; a planted question in Justin's guide |
| A LinkedIn-native cut | 60 to 90 s, 1:1 or 4:5, uploaded natively, no hard sell | Remotion |
| The trailer | 60 to 90 s, hook first | The cold-open method (plan Phase 5) |
| A quote card set | 1080x1350: a strong quote on the guest's own graded still, one takeaway, one credential. No exclamation points. The guest's logo small, as tasteful co-branding | Automated from the moment map; the brush style |
| Two paste-ready posts | Under 80 words, in the guest's own voice: both agency side, for other agents and owners (a LinkedIn post and a Facebook post), never aimed at their clients | The content engine plus humanize, checked against the transcript |
| The Monday huddle cut | 6 to 8 min of audio plus three discussion questions, for the guest's team to play in the office. Owners share inside before they share outside | The best chapter |
| A professional headshot | The best frame from the recording, lightly graded, square and landscape. Many agents still use an outdated photo, so this gift outlives the episode | The thumbnail miner plus a grade |
| The guest's cleaned transcript section | The ums removed; timestamps kept; newsletter-safe | Whisper plus a cleanup pass |
| A brag sheet | A one-page bio, quotes, topics and links, for their website or speaker sheet | Template |
| A "conversation map" | Three ideas the guest connected, as a clean diagram. Saveable on LinkedIn | Moment map to graphic |
| A custom motion ad (Nick's ask) | A 15 to 30 s Remotion ad in the Closed brand, built around the guest's best line, for their own feed | The overlay kit and the Word Lock style |
A caution worth keeping: "One person cannot make twelve assets that still feel human." The recommendation: automate the whole set, but put only the top three on the page (the flagship clip, a quote card, the two posts). The rest sits one tap lower under "More".
Delivery
- Timing:
- the evening before it goes live, with six lines from Justin naming the moment he kept and why (the subject line is the guest's own sentence);
- one reminder the morning it publishes: "Live. Your posts are ready." Nothing after that.
- A personal note from Justin, naming the specific insight: reciprocity is the most consistently documented lever. It's the one piece that can't be automated.
- No pressure: never ask them to tag the show, duet, or post within 24 hours. Offer the asset, and let the pride do the posting.

Part 2 of 3 · The psychology
Why it works
What makes a guest proud to share it, and the loop that follows.
What makes them proud(the delight)
- The right moment: the one that makes them look like the person their best client calls.
- Their name, credentials, agency and city exactly right. One mistake and the package feels cheap.
- The YouTube chapter named after their own phrase. People repost language they recognize as theirs.
- A "Featuring [Name]" cover graphic.
- The legacy clip: a 60 s answer framed around a professional belief they'll still want to share six months later.
The growth loop
- The page closes with a referral, not a subscribe button: "If you know another owner who handles this the way you do, reply with their name." This ties into Justin's guide ritual "the Handoff" (the guest names the next guest).
- A five-peer text, already written: "Minute 18 is the part I wish someone had told me in year two." Five people, not a blast.
- A "send to your team" note for Slack, Teams or email.

Part 3 of 3 · The guardrails
The rules and the build
Permissions, how it fits the Closed site, and the build order.
Permissions and safety
- A guest release signed before recording: consent to record, likeness, editing, clips and repurposing, distribution, and a separate line for any AI voice or avatar use. A verbal "sure" isn't enough once an episode is published.
- Clip approval: industry practice is to set expectations in the release, not to approve every clip. The recommendation is no per-clip sign-off, but the guest can flag anything within 48 hours of receiving the page.
- HPM hard rules on everything outward (the Closed ruleset, section 0): no HPM comp, override or valuation figures, no Legacy renewal percentages, and never a competitor FMO name. The guest's own on-record specifics are fine. And: cut anything risky before the guest sees the package, so they never have to.
Episode pages and the Closed site
The Toolkit pillar lives here (Nick, 2026-09-26). Every episode gets its own page on the Closed site, and each page carries a piece of the third pillar: downloadable worksheets and scorecards (PDF), the retention cadence, tips, and short strategy videos made from the episode's lesson. Where the episode matches one of Justin's Field Entries, the page links it. The page is the episode, plus the tools to act on it.
Best practice for an episode page:
- a title with the episode number, a summary, takeaways and timestamped chapters;
- a transcript behind a toggle, the guest's bio and links, and the resources mentioned;
- one call to action.
The guest page can be a private view of the same episode page. One build serves both: public for viewers, and a guest mode with the downloads.
Build order
- Pilot on S4E3 (Umer): the guest page with the top three assets, the note, and the release form wording.
- Then add the huddle cut and the headshot.
- Then the public episode page, which becomes the start of the Closed site.
Measure: did the guest post (yes or no, and which asset), and did any views come through the guest's link.
