What an episode screenplay is
Page one is the master guide.
This page is where it gets written for each episode.
The master guide lays out the structure every episode follows. As we go, each episode gets its own guide built on it, written for that guest and that lesson, with the exact questions, the strongest moments to hunt for, and every beat mapped out, so nothing is left to guesswork on the day.
- The arc card
The front page of every episode guide: the promise, story, mirror, proof, lesson, stakes and next, on one card.
Section 11 of the guide → - The prep, for this guest
Their before, the moments to hunt for, the number they own, and the one-line promise.
Section 2 of the guide → - The questions, for this lesson
The story question and the lesson question for the week's topic, picked ahead of time.
Section 5 of the guide → - The moments to plant
The lines the edit needs, from the one-sentence version to the everyday picture.
Section 4 of the guide → - Every beat mapped
The five acts, filled in for this guest, so nothing is left to guesswork on the day.
Section 1 of the guide → - The episode sheet
The one page Justin fills in before recording, with room for the timestamp notes after.
Section 8 of the guide →
